Hi all,

I just got a linkstation pro duo enclosure. I would like to know if it is possible to install only one hard drive, instead of two in it? I can not tolerant the noise.

I tried to install firmware in one drive, but it always return ACP_STATE_FAILURE, not sure if this is the reason.

    Any idea? Thanks.

Yes you can, How are you trying to install the firmware? what is the exact model of your unit? also did you buy it brand new and if so was it a diskless unit or no?
Units I own: TS-XL, TS-WXL, LS-WVL, TS-RXL,  TS5400, TS-RVHL,
