Hi,

I bought just 3 TB Buffalo Linkstation 410D (LS410D0301-EU) and I'm wondering where the hell is Sleeptimer? I have 400 Series manual (pdf) and it says that it is in management menu, but I don't find it there? I bought it for my photos and music library. I have two 1 TB Linkstation Pro V's which have that Sleeptimer feature. If this 410 don't have it it is a peace of poop. I don't wan't my diisks to be running all the time. If it don't have sleeptimer, can I turn it off from back everytime when I wan't it to be close and turn it on when I use it? Is it any risk for the hard disk?

Regards, Eero (from Finland)

Does the drive have a switch on the back or a push button? If it has a switch look and see if it has the word Auto and switch it to that. The drive then shuts itself down when not being used and turns on when you connect to it. Since you just bought it, did you upgrade the firmware? The newer firmware may have that feature but your current version doesn't. Just thought i'd try and help!

Ok. Thanks for the advice. Device said in browser that it has the latest firmware. But when I went to Buffalo's site and there was newer firmware and I updated it. Now there is the sleeptimer option in managment section. So it helped.
