Hello guys, im new here, and i think i have a problem with driverstation external hardrive model HD-CE500U2.I used to download programs and movies to my external hardrive, and i got an error so i stop it, now i cant open any folder in the driver or even open the driver to access files, everytime i try to open the driver, it tells me to format it . Is there anyway that i can view my files without format it?. I dont use any Firmware or backup program. Thanks in advance

Dude,

Is your unit under warranty? If so then most likely you have to sent it to the local Buffalo Service Centre and mayb talk nicely to them about getting your hard drive to a Data Recovery Centre to recover your data.

If no warranty or do not care about the warranty being void, you can open up the set. Unscreen the metal plate holding onto the harddisk. Plug the harddisk into your computer. You should be able to see the data.
