Media Server

I've never used the Media Server on my LS-CH1.0L but just noticed it was enabled with the IP / MAC address of a machine as allowed.

 

Is this on as standard?  Is there anything that would have set this up without my knowledge?

No, by default the media server should be disabled

The media server is alredy turned on when you get the unit to have easy access to allow DLNA clients access the unit.

Thanks guys - assuming it is on as standard, would it be possible for a computer to set itself up as a client on the list without my knowledge?

Yes, some programs on computers and devices on the network like the Playstation 3 will automatically see the unit under media servers.
