So, I just got the buffalo wireless mobile storage drive and have gotten video files to stream on my kindle fire to my usual video app, mx video, but not wtv files.  The only option I ever get is to download it.  Now, admittedly, I can probably download it locally and run it from there, but is there a way to set it to run in mx video?  I know mx can run wtv files that are stored locally, but for some reason I just can't get them to stream to it.

App issue then. Technically how it all works out is the device hosts the files. From there the apps on your device like my phone for example. The stock player will not play the mkv files but if there on the phones local storage they will. Downloaded a third party app and have no issues playing them from the unit. So the issue is on the app.
Units I own: TS-XL, TS-WXL, LS-WVL, TS-RXL,  TS5400, TS-RVHL,

I don't work for Buffalo but i do love there products enough to help people
