LS-X2.0TL Won't shutdown

I have a relatively new LS-X2.0TL but when you try to manually shut it down from Navigator 2 or even use the timers it doesn't shutdown. The hard drive continues to run and the leds flash, even if you leave it overnight. You have to resort to powering it down, they now supply it with an in-line power switch, even though they tell you in the manual NOT to do this as it may cause more issues. Anyone have any suggestions how I can make it shutdown and not risk loosing all my information evertime I have to power it down and back up again?
