DD-WRT Guest Network Question

I  found the following YouTube video by Buffalo Americas titled "Buffalo AirStation Configure Guest Network with DD-WRT firmware" :

It is very clear in describing how to set up a guest network but I have the following question:

Once the guest network is set up can it be repeatedly disabled and re enabled without losing the data I entered?  If so, how?

It depends on the question you're asking. If you mean alternate the radio buttons, the enable/disable option only applies to the SSID broadcast. The network would still be active, it just wouldn't broadcast the SSID. A device could still connect to the network if it knew the SSID.

The only way to turn the network completely off would be to remove it, which would of course lose the settings.

Thanks, Texturtle, that's what I thought. I guess the best way to 'disable' it would be to disable the SSID broadcast and put in an 'impossible' 63 character password with all character types. Then the next time I have visitors I can enable SSID and put in a more reasonable password.

So now if I did want to remove the guest network how would I do it? I see how I could undo the firewall rules but how would I remove the DNSMasq options, guest network dhcp server, guest network bridge, virtual interface? Or would I need to reset to factory defaults?

You should be able to go through and turn off each feature individually. It may be quicker to do a reset.
