I've read lots of posts on how to reset the password and login on my LS-WXL (unplug, wait 10 secs, hold function button for 10 secs, plug in, hold function button until function light flashes, release and re-press)..

However I cannot get my function light to flash!

The Power light flashes, and doesn't change regardless of whether function button is pressed or not.

The function button briefly flash red once, just prior to the power light flashing.

HELP!

All I want to do is get my MAC to see the NAS and obviously I need the password and login!!

Why do I do this - post a question, and then 30 seconds later find the answer myself!!  Only taken me nearly 2 hours!!

The solution to this perennial problem ( the amount of posts out there is amazing) is that you don't simply unplug the NAS like I was doing but switch off the NAS using the switch on the back of the unit, and then follow the wait, press, switch on etc etc.

SOLVED!!
