Wrong firmware on my LS-CHL1.0TL-EU

Received an update from a friend for my Linkstation; after check my system was updated for ver 1.60. Since update I'm not able to connect drive. I have read a lot of threads, and found out, the the newest firmware for my model is ver 1.12 (the 1.60 are made for LS-CHL1.0TLV2). Is it possible to make a rolllback for my old firmware ver?

hrmm... if you have the ACTUAL firmware updater from the BuffaloTech site, then the updater would NOT even see the unit if it was a V1... the official updater only sees models in its upgrade tree, so if the updater saw the unit, then tried to upgrade/update it, then it WAS a V2 not a V1!

that being said, you said you cant connect to the drive, do you mean normal file access? did the updater say it was done successfully or did it error out?  have you installed NAS Navigator to see if it sees the drive? Whats the lights on the unit doing? it should be seen one way or another either way as long as the power light is solid green (or blue depending on the chassis revision)...

also, the update for v2 is now at 1.68, the US site only lists v1.60 :X
