LS-CH1.0TL-V2 unable to reset password or log in via web access

Dear all,

For nearly a year I have a LS-CH1.0TL-V2 storage device running without any problems.

Now I have no access to my shared folders or to the web access configuration.

The device shows no errors - the led just shines blue.

The NASNavi is able to locate the device in the network and shows me the correct available/used disk space. But it refuses to show me folders.

This is what I already tried:

- rebooting (looks normal)

- reseting (even with factory default password - admin/password - web access says it's wrong?!?! )

- telnet via TFTP Boot Recovery (no connection)

- firmware update (without a password it would not work)

- tried without firewalls and in another network...

I already had a look for answers in the threads without success...

Hope you can help me! :)

Alex

Hi,

Can the LSRecovery.zip be made available again please?

I have the same problem and no matter what I do with buttons and powering on and off, the default admin password just isn't being accepted.

Thanks

Some further information supporting my cause...

My box is showing as LS-CH1.0TL-V2 1.56 FW using NASNavigator2. Annoyingly it's reporting that there's no default share to map, but I can see the media server service on port 9000.

Not sure if this is a contributing factor but when I upgraded my firmware using the official tools thinking that that would help to reset the password, at the end of the process the FW upgrade application displayed a password dialog box, but no further instructions on what to enter. No matter what I entered, the dialog would kept being displayed again and again....

For those numerous folks who have managed to reset their box using the buttons alone, it would be nice to hear about the exact timings of button presses, releases, the period till the next Function button press and for how long it is depressed. Just a thought...

Just reading FAQ 2 of 5, during firmware update, as my box was in EM mode (confirmed by the NASNavigator2 util) the password 'password' should have been accepted but wasn't.

Anyways, holding out for someone to upload LSRecovery.zip, please.

I'm having the same issue and would like the  LSRecovery.zip utility. Can someone please post a link to this again?
