Firmware Update will not finish

Hi - I'm a novice with a LinkStation Live (LS-X) - LS-X2.0TL.  I got notifications to update my firmware so I have attempted to do so.  I currently have version 1.71.  I'm at the screen that says "updating firmware" followed by:

"Please do not close or refresh this window until the firmware update is completed.

Details

Progress: The machine must be restarted to enable the firmware settings. Please wait until the restart process is complete."

The little circle showing that it is working is below that, and has been now for about a day. 

Any advice whether I should continue to wait?  I don't want to close my browser because it says not to.  But I've lost faith that ultimately it will conclude the update.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

If the NAS Navigator reports you are on the latest firmware then just close the Window. The reboot has probably already completed.
