Password has changed

Hello all. I posted this in error in the wrong section earlier - oops!

I have an LS-CH1.0TL-V2 (firmware 1.56). Suddenly I cannot access shares or settings due to an incorrect password error. I have tried resetting the password via the method in the user manual but had no luck. I also tried updating the firmware via the forced method in debug mode but this also fails; is the unit scrap?

Would the lsrecovery program be of any use in this case and if so, is it available to download?

Was it in EM mode at all?

It's never been in EM mode, lights all behave as normal. The reset procedure did reset DHCP to on, nas navigator finds the unit and shows the correct amount of free vs used data, just none of the passwords are valid anymore?

Then put it into em mode and reinstall the firmware selecting to delete user data partition.

Okay, I eventually managed to get the thing into em mode, debug force firmware, delete partition: "couldn't pass authentication, please confirm again the admin password"

I give up, I guess it's time for an upgrade.

All good now, I snagged lsrecovery from another site, unlocked in 4 minutes, now formatting :-)
