LS-CH trouble with web access - Mac

From the reading I've done it appears that using web access (etc) I would be able to open my shares and retrieve specific files.

So I've configured web access and when I go to buffalonas.com I'm asked for the buffalonas name, then from there I get a drop down asking for the name and password. The name and password always fail. Either I'm doing something wrong or the feature doesn't work.

Since I've had this product I have only put data on it never retrieved anything. Any help? Thank you.

Why are you using web access if accessing locally on your mac? Just use smb
Or AFP!

Thank you davo - the simple answer is because I don't know any better. I'll have to read up on smb and AFP to see how to use them. (Not exactly a power user here :) )

I appreciate your suggestions. I was able to figure out AFP and got the files I needed. Was pretty easy in hindsight.
