Hi guys, i have a LS-WX 2.0 TL/R1 and the system is in RAID 1 mode, firmware 1,65.

A week ago the system reported an error on disk 2 that has been replaced. I started the array rebuilding procedure and then the day after the error was on Disk 1 (in System\Storage\Disks the disk 1 has Status: Error and there is no Unit Name).

Is it possible that the disk 1 is dead too? Can it be another kind of problem?

Possibly a RAID issue, backup the data and then completely delete and recreate the RAID.
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.
Having network issues? Drop me an email: info@interwebsireland.com and we will get it fixed!

Have i helped you? Buy me a coffee as a thanks!

Update:

i have deleted the array and restarted the device. Disk 1 is still in error, the Unit Name is displayed but everything else is not present. Disk 2 is ok.

Nas Navigator indicates E30 (unknown error) and I12 (degraded mode).

I've just encountered the same problem, after I upgraded to the latest firmware.  Seems too coincidental and I don't believe that my Drive 2 is necessarily bad ... maybe the firmware?  But anyway, I wanted to ask you whether you replaced your HD with an identical replacement ordered from Buffalo or just with a blank HD that you bought somewhere that had the same capacity.  My failed one is a Seagate Barracuda 1TB, ST31000528AS.  I'm wondering how critical it is to get the identical drive.  Probably isn't but I thought you might be able to shed some light on this.  Did you replace Drive 1 now, and is all OK?
