Hello.

I am in possession of a TeraStation TS-H1.0TGL/R5. I am looking to upgrade the unit to 4x2TB or 4x3TB drives. I am aware this involves TFTP flashing but that's not an issue at all.

I have a few questions:
1. Will it support 3TB drives?
2. Has anyone performed the 4x2TB upgrade? What kind of performance do you get from the unit? Do you use in RAID1 or 5?

Thanks

1. No.
2. Yes, i have done this myself, RAID5, getting around 20-25MB transfer rate on a gigabit network.
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

Thanks davo.

Another question on TFTP flashing. I have only mac desktop machines (plenty of PC and linux VMs on a VMWare box though).

From what I read the TFTP server provided with the restoral image is Windows-ONLY. Can I use an alternative TFTP server that is Mac-compatible or do I have to use the Buffalo-provided one?

Also, can I upgrade the unit to the latest firmware even though I don't have the new drives yet? The TFTP procedure seems to involve downloading a "firmware upgrade", so I am unsure if it will work if I am already at the latest version.

Thanks
