I have just bought and installed a Buffalo DriveStation Duo 4TB, which I have set up as a raid1-system. Now I want to back-up 1 TB of photo's I have on an external harddrive. But, the program says I can only backup directly from pc/laptop. Is there a solution or a workaround to this? Thanks for your help. Grtz, Michel Lucas

Why don't you just drag and drop what you want over to the DriveStation? You don't need to use a backup program to do this. I don't use the buffalo backup tool as its very limited. good for a one time backup but there are better options.
Units I own: TS-XL, TS-WXL, LS-WVL, TS-RXL,  TS5400, TS-RVHL,

I don't work for Buffalo but i do love there products enough to help people
