3x Drivestation Duo 4TB RAID drives - HDTunePro Airflow Temperature error in all

Hi there,

I'm looking for help on an issue that I have with three of my Drivestation Duo RAID drives (they all are models "BUFFALO HD-WLU3/R1"). I have bought all 3 of them during the last 4 months. They're all 4TB editions, running in RAID1 mode (= 2TB per actual drive letter).

I keep them on 24/7 behind electricity that's both surge + backup power (UPS) protected. Each one of them fails the health status check in HD Tune Pro when it comes to the "(BE) Airflow Temperature" setting, although Buffalo RAID Management Utility (version 3.00.70) gives no warnings or indications that anything is wrong. The drives are on a rack plate in my system rack and give away no excess / noticeable heat.

If I click on the drive info in Buffalo Raid Management Utility, the three drives show their fan statuses as "Normal (low speed)", "Normal (stopped)" and "Normal (low speed)", so the Buffalo's own RAID Management Utility doesn't show up any problems on any of the three drives either. However the airflow temperature error in HD Tune Pro sort of makes me uncomfortable. It seems to vary from time to time and from drive to drive whenever the health status in the BE/Airflow Temperature parameter is passed or failed. Even now as I re-checked the drive's healths, one of the drives passed the test ok, while two others didn't.

I don't understand what's the problem, since none of the exteriors of the three Drivestation Duos aren't hot or even warm in any manner. On top of that, none of the other temperature sensors (ie. the C2 parameter in HD Tune Pro) are completely error-free.

I've attached screenshots from HD Tune Pro's Health status view, with both the BE-parameter passed and failed. Can anyone help me out with this one, so I won't lose my sleep over it? Thanks in advance!
