My QUAD appeared to be locked up.  It would not ping and my two PC's could not see it.  I tried using the power button but it would not shutdown.  I pulled the power and now it won't turn on.  The green light on the back is lit.  I tried holding in the power button for 10 seconds and nothing will turn it on.  The switch in the back is on manual.  I also tried auto. I pulled all 4 hard drives and it still won't turn on.  I also power cycled the power supply which has a green LED and is on.

If the unit is not powering on it's possible the NAS experienced a short when it locked up. If you're located in the US I would send an e-mail to mailto:info@buffalotech.com" target=_blank>info@buffalotech.com requesting an RMA.
