Feature Suggestion: Preinstall ipkg / opkg in a working manner.

Please make ipkg and/or opkg ready out-of-the-box, right now, i am getting errors about a read only filesystem.  i was hoping to install a bunch of stuff quickly to deploy a bunch of these.  However, it is impractical to deploy if i have to follow all these directions just to get to ipkg install.

If i am using 17135, is some of it done already?

 

Specific error encountered:

root@DD-WRT:~# ipkg update
mkdir: cannot create directory '//usr/local/lib/': Read-only file system

 

i have a jffs mounted rw and usb mounted rw, but / is ro.

/dev/root on / type squashfs (ro,relatime)

Supposedly is a shell script that you can run which installs and configures both ipkg and opkg. 

However, it does not work on all builds of dd-wrt. 

Before running, you probably want to open up the setupscript.sh in a text editor and examine carefully.

 

i would still much prefer to have ipkg / opkg preinstalled, but disabled by default.
