   How can I retrieve the user name and password?  Tried root and password but does not work.

   Never mind, looked on the bottome of the unit and found it.

   For future reference, the default username is "root".  There is no password by default.  In the event that you forget what you set the password for, you can hold in the INIT or RESET button for 10 seconds to reset the router to defaults.
