I have not been able to change , Linkstation Name and date and time. When i apply the changes, nothing in this panel changes for Linkstation.

This is in the basic panel.

Any Sugestion?

frank_r,

Per our forum guidelines I would need to know the model and firmware version of the device in question.  More information helps us provide you with the best answers.  Thank you :)

I just bought a LinkStation Quad 2TB and have the same problem. I cannot edit any settings on the 'Basic' tab in the Web Admin.  The other pages (like Group Management etc) work fine.

I have updated the firmware to 1.5 and it did not help.

I have tried in IE7 and Moz3 browsers, same in both.

What is the problem?

I am having the same problem.   Just received a Linkstation Live (LS-CHL), and am unable to change any information on the Basic tab in the web access (also using both IE7 and Firefox 3.0.7).  Another thing I noticed was that when view the Basic tab, all other tab options on the side menu vanish except for System Status and Logout.  When choosing either of these, the other tabs return.

I am on firmware version 1.01, Windows XP.  However, I just downloaded  1.07 (released the 5th of this month), and hopefully after I install that, the problem will be fixed.  I'll update and let you know.

Edit: Updating the firmware to 1.07 did not fix the problem.

This could be a script blocking function built in to countermeasure software such as Norton 360. Do you have anything running on your system such as that?

I have no script blocking functions or firewalls in place.  Besides, if that were the issue, I think that none of the other menu pages would work either.  As it is, only the Basic page is broken.

I do have both no script on Firefox, and running Norton IS.  NoScript had been disable, however Norton IS was still active.  I disabled Norton and I was still unable to make the necessary changes using IE7, however, I was able to make the change through Firefox now.

Thank you.

You're right Luke, Firefox is working for me now also.
Thanks guys for your help!

I always seem to find out that firefox is the best program to use when you want to access the web.  Always use that when you use a buffalo product.
