Linkstation Pro Duo ...... array1 folder? why?

When i add a shared folder and login via FTP, the only folder i see is array1 ( i opted to hide the "info" directory) and all shares created are in that directory. Is there a way that when a user logs in, the ftp client would go directly to that users folder and NOT have to go through "array1" ?

Also, is there a way to display messages, like .message in linux systems?

On this firmware version they have the array listed as a directory on the ftp server.  At this time there is no way around this, if you have a client that you want to send directly to there directory you can create a URL for them to log into via the link.

for example its

ftp://username[:]password@ipaddress_or_dns_name/array1/directory_name
