Linkstation CHL 1.5

Mac OS X

I recently set-up  new network (Accessing my NAS form my OS X was smooth before using AFP) and not I have a problem accessing my NAS.

1.  NAS Navi 2 can see my NAS

2. I can acce the NAS via browser through its IP

3. But I can't access it in Finder.

3.1 Sometimes it appears in Finder, when I click it it shows the "Share" folder.  When I click it it says "The operation can't be completed because the original item for "share" can't be found."

3.2 Sometimes it doesn't appear at all in finder

3.3 Sometimes it appears in finder with an eject button beside it (like it was SMB, but I am using AFP)

*By the way I am connected to the NAS via Wifi.  If I connect via ethernet, then there is no isse, I can access files easily.

Any help?  I recently updated the firmware to 1.6

4. It is also connected to my Sony Bravia and I have problems with it too. I will write another topic for it, but it also can access my NAS (ethernet).  So its

update to 1.65 and manually map the share in connect to server. (Go - Connect to server -> smb://IP-Of-NAS -> Connect - log on as a guest (assuming A/R are not set).

PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

Have you tried changing the channel for your wireless router? As it seems to be a wireless issue.

Thanks.

1.60 is the latest firmware.  There is no 1.65

I do not think it is a wifi issue because I can access the internet and other peripherals connected physically to the router.  (I can see the NAS too, just cant use FInder to browse in it)

Also I was hoping not to use SMB, and use AFP since this is a Mac and this proved to be more stable before all this mess.

Of course it can be the network, sure you say yourself the issue only started when you installed a new router, but if you want to believe its not the network then thats your choice. Also, there is a 1.65 firmware available http://www.buffalo-technology.com/en/download_file.php?r=3992" target="_self">here.

If you dont want to listen to peoples advise then you wont get very far.

Of course I listen to people's advise, that is why I am here.  But just because it is an advice doesn't mean I should take it.  I was  merely deducting possible solutions. Of course it can be the network problem, I never said it wasn't.  I just said it wasn't a wifi problem.  I appreciate everyone's help. Dunno what made you believe I wasnt.  I sincerely do!
