Hello everyone,

I'm new to the community, I had just bought the Buffalo Linkstation pro Duo 4 TB on Thursday and spent Friday and almost all Saturday configuring it and building up my media library.

I also updated the firmware to version 1.64 with the utility from the buffalo site and managed Web-access and dtcp-ip to work.

But I have found a bad issue with my cute little media server: srt files are not played with MP4 videos. With other video type srt files are displayed correctly, so it is not a problem of the media server. The issue is only with mp4 files, and unfortunately all my recent videos are mp4. Is there a way to fix it? I'm not afraid of using also line command, if it is needed, I have a little knoweledge of Linux and I'm a tech guy :)

I'm waiting for your answer!

Thank you in advance

KamPa

For anyone who has the same problem, renaming the extension of the file from .mp4 to .mkv works.
