How long are your USB backups taking?

I have a LinkStation Quad that is at least several years old.  I just got an external USB harddrive in order to backup the LS.  (I know, I should have done this ages ago.)

I formatted the (Seagate 1TB) harddrive with a single ext3 partition using Partition Magic, after reading several posts here.  Hooked up the drive to the USB port on the LS and kicked off an immediate full backup of all shares.  Somewhere in the neighborhood of 900+ GB.  It has been running for about 12 hours and has only backed up about 140 GB.

Is everyone here experiencing similar backup times to their external drives?  What are your times?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Tim.

Assuming a transfer rate of 6-10MB/s (typical USB transfer rate for this device) it should take 36-48 hours realistically.
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.
