Our Terastation III rackmount ( TSRX4.0TL/R5-AP ) just failed with a E01-DRAM LINE error. We have escalated the issue to the local support centre here, but have been informed that it may take a few weeks to obtain the necessary replacement part/s. We are desperate to extract some of the data stored on the device (please don't ask about backups).

What are our options?

- obtain another similar unit to swap in the drives. Will this work?

- obtain another Terastation (but not necessarily this model). Will this work for some models? If so, which ones?

- link up the drives to a desktop/server to reconstruct the drive array. Do-able?

TIA.
