Short: NFS does not work with TeraStation

Long: Attempt to mount Terastation as NFS share from AIX.  Had to disable RAID 1 and go to normal (JBOD) and could use only share 1 disk as a NFS share.  If I tried to use RAID or share two disks of the NAS, the performance became so pathetic that it was unusable (about 2MB/min).   Called Buffalo Tech support.  The tech knew less than I did about the TeraStation (and I have all of 2 hours of experience with it).  He kept referring to NFS as NFX but claimed to have expertise in NFX.  He insisted that the problem was with my network.  When I asked how it could be my network when disabling RAID and sharing only 1 disk from the unit would cause it to perform, he dismissed me saying 'Well is there anything else I can help you with".  Buffalo tech support gets a F- and the product engineering gets a D-.  I will say that the unit performs 'just okay' as a CIFs or SMB mount.  But we'll be returning it in favor of the highly acclaimed Synology products.  They seem to be well reviewed and the features they say they support, actually work.  Don't be Buffaloed...
