Buffalo Drive fails to start

I have a Buffalo 2 TB  hd-lb2 OTU3

 

It shows up in device manager but says it fails to start and wont show in win explorer

 

Ive restarted windows disconnected the usb and also removed the plug nothing works

 

When I connect it i hear some of the normal noises like its being read and the green light blinks and then goes solid green

 

Not sure whats going on Please help.

Does it appear in disk management? Have you tries it on a second pc using a different USB cable?

It does not show up in disk management and I will have to buy another usb 3.0 cable as this is the only one I own.

It will work with a USB 2.0 cable also (like the one for a printer)

Yea it works with my 2.0 cable so it must be my cable thanks for the info
