Web Access Set-up LS-XL

I like most people on the forum am having trouble getting Web Access set up for remote access to the linkstation NAS.  

my set-up is as follows 

 westell 6100 modem -uPnP disabled

 Tenda W268R wireless router-port forwarded to 9000-56000 and the LS-XL IP (uPnP disabled)

 Config on NAS is set-UPnP disabled internal-9001 external 9000

 

I have been pulling my hair out trying to enable remote access.  Have no problems accessing via LAN but cannot access remotely.  

From reading other posts this sounds like a port forwarding issue but sounds like the trouble shooting required to fix this problem is over my head.  

I would appreciate any advice you could provide as to what might fix my access problem, and please go easy I am not a tech person by trade.
