Linkstation Live 1Tb won't shut down - blue light flashes continuously.

After last week's problem of my Linkstation going into EM mode and needing a firmware update to 1.63, the unit now refuses to shut down.

Here's the problem

 

I try to shut down the Linkstation with Navigator2 and the units blue light starts flashing, but the Linkstation doesn't switch off. The blue light flashes for hours before I have to use the switch on the back to switch it off.

 

The unit boots fine to a solid blue light but won't shut down.

reset the Linkstation to factory defaults via the admin page.
