LS-QL F/W 1.11 - rebuild raid 1

I did something very stupid and now I hope there is a solution for it :)

 

I'm using LinkStation Quad, 4 disks, with 2*raid 1 (mirror) arrays.
Last week I wanted to copy one of the disks, so I thought I'll just take one disk out, connect to external sata and read the data. Beside the fact that it didn't work, I also kept my LS running and new data was written to the disk (that's the very stupid part).

 

Now, the LS is working fine with 3 disks. 1 array got status: "An error was detected in the RAID Array" but everything is working as expected.

When I try to put the 4th disk into the LS, it won't start (1 red led blink) - I'm guessing this is "RAID Array Error Detection Response - Automatic Shutdown".

 

What should I do to put the 4th drive back and rebuild the raid 1 without losing data?

 

If I choose "Change Raid Array", will it erase all my current data?

Go to system storage, click on the  hdd you put back in see if it gives you any options,ie, Format, disckcheck, etc

The disk is not connected. As I wrote before, I can't start the LS with the 4th disk in.

 

Should I disable "RAID Array Error Detection Response - Automatic Shutdown - Enabled"? Is it safe?

It is safe, it should just go in to degraded mode

After further testing, the reason the buffalo didn't start is that the HD I took out was faulty and causing a short (my PC couldn't start with this disk too)

 

I replaced the disk and after putting a good disk, the raid started to rebuild automatically.

 

All good now :)
