LS-WXL Firmware update running overnight, still not complete

I tried upgrading my Linkstation firmware from 1.62 to 1.63 via the web interface,  It's been running for 15 hours (overnight) and still is not compelte.  The web interface is on the screen:

 

Updating Firmware...

Please do not close or refresh this window until the firmware update is completed.

Progress: Updating of the firmware has started.

 

The firmware version on the top left of the web interface still says 1.62.  All of the data on the drives are still accessible.  The orange/amber status light has turn off now, the blue light is solid and no error/warning lights are on.  Is it stalled?  What can I do to speed this thing up?

Ok, obviously if it is showing 1.62 it has not updated, and if you are able to see the shares and access them it is safe to restart  the ls, first download the firmware from your regions buffalo support  website on to your desktop, then disable the firewall and antivirus, restart the ls once it boots run the LS updater to install the new FW, do not swith off the ls untill process finishes completely.

log into the linkstation with a different browser - it probably finished updating and your browser window just hasn't refreshed to show completion

When I would open another browser window it would take be back to the firmware is updating screen. Its backing up right now, but as soon as it finishes I'm going to try manually applying the update.
