Is NASNavigator2 required?

Hi,

 

I currently have NAS Navigator2 v 2.52 installed on my Mac Book Pro installed with Mac OS 10.8.2. I noticed that it keeps launching on my Dock every other minute. 

 

Do I really need to have the application installed on my Mac or can I have it removed?

no its not required if you do not use the auto power feature.
