We have a LS-WXL825 which we've never been able to properly join the domain. By using local users we've managed to get by until now. To resolve this we tried upgrading the firmware to v1.62.

Sadly we still get the same messages:

Failed to join Active Directory Domain.
Please check the Active Directory Domain setting information, Administrator user name and password. Also, make sure that your network settings are correct.

I've read loads of bulletin boards about this and an 100% sure I'm using the correct settings and the tme is sport on. Our DC has a '-' in the name. Would this be the reason I can't join the domain? If so, it seems odd that this restriction remains when Buffalo give their devices names with a hyphen in it!

Are there any other settings within the DC that need to be checked? It'd be useful if there was a Buffal guide about this rather than the bits and bobs found in the bulletin boards.

Please, is there a solution to this - it seems to have been going on for 5 years now.
