I have tried several times to access my LS-X2 with my iPad and can't seem to make buffaloNAS.com cooperate.

I have gotten error messages ranging from my router doesn't support UPnP (which it does and is enabled) to issues with port forwarding, to can not connect to server, and connection has timed out.

Is it possible to delete my account with BuffaloNAS.com and start over from scratch?

I need help

go to http://www.canyouseeme.org" target="_blank">www.canyouseeme.org and see if tport you ve opened is actually open. It sounds to me like it isn`t..

I am able to see the port is open; however, now when I try to access my drive, I get an error message telling me that my request has timed out.i have gotten this messsage several times now.

I am beginning to think I'm close to a solution, but I'm still missing something.

Very frustrating.

I am getting ready to set up web access.  All I want to do is be able to access my NAS from the road on my laptop.  The link provided is 53 pages and has all kinds of confusing steps.  Basically, what I am saying is if I just want to access files and whatnot on my NAS from the road or from my iPhone, what do I actually have to do?  I want to be able to access all contents of my NAS, I do have 5 seperate use drives (not the right terms, basically I set up folders for each user and mapped on their PC so they can access).  I want to be the only one that can access, but again I want to access all the shares I have and have the ability to read and write to them.  Without going through all 53 or so pages, what basically do I have to do?

I see it.  I guess I will go through all 53 or so pages and apply what applies to me.  The link shows how to set up folders, share, etc.  I just need to set up web access but I get the point and will take what information I need.  Questioins I am sure will be posted later ha ha!  Thanks for the link, it does seem quite straightforward.

Thanks!  Works like a charm both from Laptop and iPhone.  Amazing that I can do this, and took literally minutes!!

One other question. I see I can play music on my iPhone but it would be nice to be able to access my playlists for ease of playing setlists. Is that possible? Also, can I download music from my nas to my iPhone and use in the music app?
