Hi,

I', totally new to Buffalo Nas. I tried to access the folder using my PC but it keep on prompting me the username and password. I tried admin password but it didnt allow me to go in.

I've even set admin in the "shared folders" to be able to read and write for that particular folder but i still cant access.

Is there any other way for me to check where the authentication setup at?

Thanks

WayneW

From other posts i have read here, I don't believe "admin" is granted remote access. Seems you first need to setup users and login with a user account.

Hi WayneW,

Thanks for your reply..

Well i did login as the user but it still won't allow me to access..
How can i create a user account and have the access right to go into the folder?

Thanks alot.

Paul

When your on the share folder set up in the GUI you can add users under the access restrictions option.

TIP: create your users first, then give them rights.
