Hi,
My Linkstation Live LS-CHL F/W 1.07 has recently stopped downloading within the bittorrent client.
It won't add urls that have been pasted in to the address box.
It will add filesif you upload the .torrent files manually, but the torrents are not downloading.
Has anyone had a similar issue or does any one know of a solution?
Any help would be grateful
Thanks
Craig
Did you ever get this feature to work?
I have exactly the same issue. :(
Unfortunately not.
I'm in the process of installing bittorent on my laptop in the event that it may be a router issue. But I doubt this.
Its a weird coincidence that multiple NAS drives have stoped responding in this way.
Maybe theres an expiry date on the bittorrent client.
Just FYI no update on firmware. I have been running 1.07 since it's release
My linkstation came with fw1.01. I contacted tech support but they just told me to update to 1.07, which I did but it didnt change anything.
The torrents work fine if I add them as a file but the torrent does not load it I do it by URL.
Very strange.
Are your downloads actually running when uploading the .torrent file?
Like you I can add files but not URLs. However, the files are not downloading.
i have just installed bittorrent on my pc, added the same files and they have downloaded succesfully.
Are any other forum users having the same trouble?
My ports are all ok.
The files manually uploaded are listed but they will not download.
So to re-iterate.
My linkstation bittorrent client has ceased to download
After waiting patiently for a reply to this thread and viewing other posts, it seems that there are a few recent issues with the linkstation live. My issues are as follows:
I'm having the same problem when i got it two months ago it worked fine and downloads loads now its stopped and doesnt work. i can add files from a file and it says downloading but no seeds or peers come up and it says at the side its inactive.
Any help would be great
a4dy, what product do you have and what firmware version is it running?
Finally got this sorted, albeit not the ideal solution
Go to the web management screen
Network > IP Address / properties
Set the Automatic via DHCP option to "enabled"
The DNS settings awere set as per my local network (gateway and DNS), but as soon as i set to DCHP enabled, the torrents started working again.
I don't know how to notify a support mod, but it would be nice for a "test settings" button on this screen to confirm the manual settings are correct.
I don't like having a floating ip address for the linkstation but as it is on most of the time, it may be ok, just need to use the nas navigator to find it

Just reserve the Linkstation an IP address on your router then!
