Understanding that it is not reasonable to support every UPS device made, the currently options for the Linkstation Quad are sparse.  To that end, it would be nice to have the ability to issue commands to shut down and wake the NAS from another device on the network. 

 

Use case:

UPS connected to a PC via USB

PC identifies UPS battery state and begins shutdown sequence

shutdown sequence include scripts to shutdown other network attached devices (e.g. NAS)

 

Allows single UPS to service and gracefully shutdown multiple devices (e.g. PC, NAS, network router)

Newer TS like TS5800D does not support this method, maybe release the documentation for your new nasapi?
