: CS-XL Password Problem
: agmichaca February 06, 2013, 02:42:13 PM

I just upgraded the CS-XL - CS-X2.0 to the latest version 1.13 build 2.35. Cause a EM problem.

After that i Cannot acces the device localy, and I have tried to change the password via cloudstation.pogoplug.com but every time I got this error:

User Name can`t be used.

Hope someone can help me.

Thanks

How important is the data (assuming any exists) on the device?

I beleive you can start with the unit off and hold the Function button for 10+ seconds and then turn the unit on.  Once it starts up (first couple of seconds) release the Funtion button and then press it again.  If two lights start flashing this is supposedly resetting the unit and therefore the password.

Not sure this is the solution you want but it is the password lockout fix I have seen referenced.

Thank you for you answer,

The CS-X2.0 dosen't have any buttons and only have a blue light. So I don`t know how to use your solution.

Appreciatte any help.

Thanks

Use the file (link below) to reset the password. The link will be active for one day.

Dear Sir,

I got the same problem as agmichaca, but after recovery, I found that all my folder had been lost and only the folder cloudstor left in my drive.
But later, I add a new folder which is the same folder name as my previous folder. I can get everything in that folder as before.

What can I do in order to find back all my folders?

Thank you

Sorry for my poor english

From what I have read in other post before, if you use the LS Recovery Tool on a CloudStor the data will be erased. I don't have a CloudStor so i can verify this to be true but i can see if my friend is willing to try to see if this is true by trying it on his CloudStor. I know I have read where people have had the same issue happen to them when they use this tool on a CloudStor. As for the data there is no way to get the data back as it is gone. Unless you can get a data recovery specialist to analyze the drive and attempt to recover any data that hasn't be written over with 0's and 1's  but who knows how much that will cost and what you will end up with.

Are you talking about the local admin password?

The remote pogoplug service is no longer avaialble as pogoplug have pulled the plug!
