I am honestly going insane here!
I have a I recently acquired a LS-C1.0TL [LinkStation EZ] and have been unable to do absolutely anything with it other than admire the flashing lights.
It was in perfect working order from the previous owner, who just took the actuall hard drive out of it.
I tried it empty, just to at least connect to the webUI but was getting the 7-flash error which was present because my hard drive wasn't.
I then proceeded to connect my WD20EARX [2TB Western Digital] to which I received the hard drive not recognised led flashing error.
I assumed this may have been because the original hard drive may have only been 1TB. So I place in a 320GB hard drive and received
the same error again.
Confused, I went mad broswing through these forums. Looking for a way to wipe the slate clean and start from factory default. I found what I
believed to be the correct procedure; turn on while holding function button and hold for another 6 seconds. This did near to nothing.
The led started flashing blue, but the device was not connecting to the network and so was not found by the NASNavi2, Firmware Updater, or Setup software.
I read that the IP sometimes reverts to 192.168.11.150, so I set my network range to match... no result.
I have searched high and low for a solution but so far no such luck.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

same issue here. It's been a while since you posted. Any resolution on your end?
Haven't done much since. Was sure I was gonna throw it at the wall if it frustrated me any more.
I'll grab it out this weekend and have another crack at it n let you know how I go. :)
Good to see I'm not alone here.
Hey Borat,
That did the trick for me. Thanks. But now I am fighting another battle. How can I ensure my internal HD is setup correctly via firmware? That is, in "theory", if I was to root the device, what would I look for the ensure that the kernel can see/access the internal SATA drive? And what should this drive be listed as under /dev/?
Thanks,
Moe
PS - Love your movies. It's time for another.
