Title: Linkstation mini... hdd failure?
Post by: Karmacoma on January 20, 2009, 10:56:22 AM

Hi,

I'm considering buying a linksataion mini and setting it up for raid-1. I can't find any information about how to replace a drive in the event of a failure. I read the case is sealed.

What is the plan?

Thanks

The linkstation mini is not easy to open without damaging the casing, and opening the device is not covered under the warranty.

If a drive fails under warranty, we can replace the device itself, but the warranty does not cover data, this is why we strongly recommend that you have backups. RAID is not a substitute for backups.
