Title: Linkstation Pro Dou noise
Post by: chcaldwell on January 19, 2009, 12:16:44 PM

My Linkstation Pro Dou often makes a series of loud "clunking" noises.  This can go on for a half hour or so.  Is that normal??

I get a red X on the mapped drive icon, but the files are all accessable.

Just started having the same problems with my Linkstation Duo Pro. It will start clicking in the middle of a transfer, and then the tranfer will stop.

I must say, this thing has been a lot of problems between only showing up on my network sporadically, and frequently timing out when copying files up or down.

You both indicate problems that are most likely due to hardware failure. I recommend contacting your local support to obtain warranty replacements.
