Title: Can't Open MPEG File
Post by: Fanatic on October 03, 2008, 12:51:16 PM

I have the ProStation Duo (LS-WTGL/R1) with a Web Access Share folder thats set up properly. I can access photos and wmv files but cannot open a 5.1GB mpeg file remotely.

The file opens locally on the network, however I can't open it remotely!

Any suggestions?

Can you down load it, then open it?  The file may be to big to stream to you PC

It says the HTTP address is improper and cannot download.

It is the same as the other videos I have though.

Any Help?

When you say that you can open the file locally are you using the Web Access interface or not? Streaming a 5gig file over the internet will require a large upstream on your cable/DSL modem. Most ISP cap their upload speed to 1Mbps. If you can open the file properly using Web Access from within your network then I would suspect it's either a speed issue or your web browser is having issues trying to work with such a large file. Have you tried a different browser? Have you tried to power cycle the device?
