Title: Replacement drive for LS-WX1.0TL/R1?
Post by: chrisrus on February 07, 2012, 02:45:37 PM

Hello, I need to replace a drive in my LS-WX1.0TL/R1.

I've surmised through several searches here that if I match the basic specs of drive the manufacturer doesn't matter. I would like to confirm this conclusion please.

Also, if anyone cares I find it highly frustrating to have invested 30-minutes in this project (including forum registration e-mail lag) in order to ask a fundamental and basic support quesiton. Buffalo really should have an easily accessible online tool that allows you to type in your model # and get specific drive replacement guidance for that model. Lack of this tool or even a raw HTML table somewhere indexed by Google is a ridiculous waste of customer time in my opinion.

Thanks, Chris

The suggestion to call in to determine the list of compatible drives doesn't seem like a cost-effective use of anyone's time when a simple table posted on the web would suffice. My $0.02. Thanks for the information
