Title: Error copying the file or folder: There is not enough free disk space.
Post by: jimdandee on February 04, 2012, 02:07:36 PM

I bought my Cloudstor CS-WX (2 - 2TB drives - raid) about a month ago and all I really want to do is store my family photos and videos on it so that I don't lose them again.

My first approach to copying the files was to drag and drop into the pogoplug software, however while copying I received "Error occurred" messages with no explanation, so I didn't have a lot of faith that all of my files were being copied. I considered the use of that software a failure since I apparently can't depend on it.

So now I'm just trying to copy all of my folders thru windows (xp) explorer to P: drive which is my Cloudstor drive, and every time I try to copy anything I get an error message that there is not enough free disk space, which is wrong since the drive is almost entirely empty.

I'm really starting to regret my decision to purchase a Cloudstor - I don't understand - when I read the reviews they were pretty good.

Please help - right now my Cloudstor is about as useful as the trash I just took out.

Firmware Version : 1.12 build 2.30

Thank you,

Jim

Thank you for your quick response.

I mapped it as a network drive as you suggested and I can now access it.

1. Is this a known issue?

2. If so is there a fix on the way?

3. Is it a problem with the Pogoplug software (I installed the latest when the problem started - Version 4.0.4.0)?

4. I have also never heard of the Nas Navigator software - is this the recomended software to use to access my Cloudstor?

5. Also, I don't know where to findout if I have the latest firmware. Can anyone direct me?

Thank you,

Jim
