Title: LS-CHL V2 firmware problems
Post by: coops74 on January 29, 2012, 09:52:11 AM

First some good news.....I've finally been able to get my devices to boot via the TFTP process using a 1.41 Kirkwood TFTP file set.

All looks well and she comes out of EM mode happily and presents correctly on NASNavigator2.  I've logged on to the web console and once I reset the language was able to set everything up as it was before the power cut.

Only one problem......every time I reboot the NAS, it returns to 6 flashing reds indicating a firmware issue.

If I repeat the TFTP process, all is well.  If I reflash the firmware, I go back to 3 flashing reds (raid error - on a single disk!!!) which was original problem after the power failure.

As it stands, I'm tempted to leave it as it is and use the TFTP process if I ever need to reboot.

Any other ideas????

When it goes into EM mode try doing a full debug of the firmware (including rebuild partition table) and see how you get on. If that fails then you might be looking at a doggy HDD.

Tried it and failed...... Disk appeared ok when I took it out and mounted in my PC. I just tried another disk to confirm things and that is just the same.
