Title: Unable to update firmware on LinkStation LS-CHL
Post by: jec047 on December 17, 2011, 12:57:35 AM

My LinkStation LS-CHL has firmware version 1.10. I downloaded the Mac updater (version 1.12) but when I run the update it says "There are no Tera/LinkStations that require an update". I'm running on a iMac with OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard), wired network connection, no firewall, no virus software. NasNavigator finds the drive fine, as does the Mac Finder.

There are two version of LS-CHL.

I think the proper firmware for your unit is version 1.56.

Having problems with my LS-CHL since I upgraded to Mountain Lion.  Going to try to upgrade my firmware but as usual, Buffalo isn't as straightforward.  There are 2 files available for mac, one is for "warning:blue interphase only" and another is for "warning:red interphase only".

I do not know which one to use.  I also am trying to access the hard drive via its ip address but it wont load, It shows the Buffalo logo and the spinning thing indicating it is loading but nothing happens.
