Title: Link Station Duo error message
Post by: codeweaver on December 06, 2011, 01:20:29 PM

I acquired a Buffalo Link Station Duo LS-WX1.0TL/1D that had firmware ver. 1.30 installed.  I used my router to find the IP address of the Link Station and accessed it via Internet Explorer.  I upgraded it to firmware ver 1.54 using the web firmware upgrade tool from Buffalo support.  After it was upgraded, I changed the admin password (via internet explorer) and installed NASNavigator2 on a windows XP systems.  It found the Link Station, but reported a "connection Error:  Some Disk information are not obtained. Failed to get Error information."  I tried to find out what that error message means and to keep it from popping up regularly in the task bar.  I mapped the "shares" folder to a drive letter and everything appears to be alright with the Link Station.  It's just that pesky ERROR MESSAGE that keeps popping up.  I haven't stored too many filed on it yet, because of this error message.  Can someone tell me what it means and how to keep it from popping up?  Thanks Bill...

I had ver 2.25 of NAS Navigator installed, so downloaded ver 2.34 and installed, but still no help with the errors.  Turned off the error displaying in the Menu of the Navigator and this stopped the nagging error popup.  Question: what's the purpose of the NAS Navigator software if you can access the administration in a browser?
