Title: Backing up from terastation Pro to terastation pro II
Post by: tansleypete on January 12, 2009, 06:23:25 AM

Hello everyone

I have a Terastation Pro (1.6GB) (frimware version 1.00) and a Terastation Pro II (TS-HTGL/R5) firmware version 1.33 and I was wondering if there was any way to back up the Pro to the Pro II?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Peter

You can certainly move data between them. But using the disk backup function to automatically backup to one another won't work, those two aren't compatible in that way.

That is a shame and a bit odd.

What would you recommend for moving data between them? They are both networked with multiple user folders.

Thanks for your reply!

Map both drives, then pull files from one to the other using a PC. Or copy the files to the PC first, then transfer them to the other.
