Title: Not able to open files on usbdisk1 through web access
Post by: iveramoveout on January 11, 2009, 12:10:52 AM

I have a terastation HS-DH1.0TGL\R5 windows XPpro sp3 2GBram Toshiba Laptop with Netgear Gigabyte Hub #GS605. My problem is I have a external WD 160 attached to the NAS and i can transfer files when Iam on the network, but when i use my other laptop and use web access i can see the usbdisk1 but cannot open the drive or anything else. I tried various configurations such as changing file formats XFS EXT3 and changing read and write permissions. Almost forgot I do have the latest firmware 2.14. Can anyone of you fellow techies tell me if this is possible

try setting the unit back to factory defaults

this will force the NAS to boot off of the new firmware

I've tried the suggested procedure and still the same results. Are usbdisk1 or2 only available on the LAN and not through web access?
